We are strategically located within 10 minutes walk from Dagenham Heathway tube station and about 7 minutes walk from Dagenham East tube station on the district line. There is off street parking and dropping off spaces with no restrictions.

We have three rooms baby 6mths to 2 years, toddler 2 years to 3years and Pre-school 3 to 4 years, each room has their own individual aims.


Little Cubs (Babies)

Ratio 3:1 Staff

Little Dinosaurs (Toddlers)

Use 3-4-word sentences
Understand and follow basic instructions
Listen to simple story and make appropriate comments
Understand and follow basic instructions

The Young Explorers

The Team

Elm Lane Day Nursery aims to offer safe and secure child care at all times. Our team are carefully chosen and committed to providing exceptional, high quality and supportive childcare for children’s individual needs and positive self-esteem.

Close personal attention to each child is essential to providing a quality experience for all children; therefore, appropriately qualified and trained staff will be hired to ensure each child has the essential supervision when in our care.

Elm Lane Day Nursery employs qualified staff that holds all the relevant childcare qualifications and experience, from Level 2 in Learning and Development to Degree Level in Early Childhood and in Education. All staff are First Aid qualified and DBS checked.

Our staff are carefully selected and monitored to ensure that they can create a warm and caring atmosphere and help to develop your Childs individual needs and positive self-esteem. Individual progress is monitored through our key person system.

Our Deputy Manager holds a level 3 in early year Childcare and she is the pre-School room leader. All room leaders are qualified to Level 3 in childcare, therefore able to offer a Learning environment far above many of our competitors. We also employed a qualified teacher to support pre-school children.

Our staff ratios are according to the OFSTED requirements:

  • 0-2’s =1:3
  • 2’s-3’s =1:4
  • 3’s-5’s =1-8

Fees and Deposits

A registration fee of £45 is required to secure a place at Our Nursery.
This is non-refundable. You are required to pay a deposit of ONE month's fee in advance. This will be used for your last month's fee, provided we have received one month’s written notice.

The deposit is non-refundable if you fail to give one month's written notice or if you cancel your booking.

Full time or Part-time deposit will be one month's fees in advance. You will be asked to sign a contract of agreement. Please take the time to read it carefully. Please keep all receipts of payments made for your own record.

Late pick-up/collection charges are payable at a rate of £10.00 for every five minutes after 6:00pm and after 12:00pm for the morning session.

Our Fee

Our fees are competitive to the area and to other providers in close proximity offering the same service. We aim to offer a service which is affordable to all, where not only parents who are high earners but people with low income are able to access good quality childcare.

Fees must be paid monthly in advance. Full fees must be paid when the week is shortened by holiday or non-attendance for whatever reason. There are no negotiations or reductions. Please see the Manager for the current fees. These fees are subject to review and can be changed at any time at management’s discretion.

The 3-5 years' rate applies from the term following your child’s third birthday.

Prices are calculated on a termly basis. (For school holidays the normal fee rate applies).

Funding

All funding places are for TIME ONLY.
We offer 15 hours working parents 9mths-2 years for parents who are eligible and have a valid code.
We also offer 15 hours Free Early Education Funding for Children aged 2 years who are eligible. This is often taken as 15 hours each week for 38 weeks of the year.
For 3-4 years funding we offer 15 hours and 30 hours (30 must have a valid code)
We also offer top up sessions for parents who require extra spaces either on a morning or afternoon basis with an additional charge.

For 3-4 years funding children their will be an additional charge for meals of a cost of £2.50 a day or alternatively you can bring in snack and pack lunch for your child.

We offer flexibility; for example, a parent may wish to access their allocated hours over a period of 3 days, at 5 hours per day or 5 days at 3 hours per day.

Full day care 8am-6pm
Half day- Morning 8am-12pm
Half day- Afternoon 1.00pm - 6.00pm

Holiday club

For Children who are term time only we offer a holiday club during all school holidays this will be charged at the normal fee rate.

Additional information

If parent has agreed days and times with us, if you want to change the agreed days and times, we must have one month notice.
If parents added another extra hours with the nursery and another hours are contracted with us- even during holidays parents still have to pay.
